New Generation Lodge History

In 1995, the Sons of Italy, New Generation was established with the help of George Vendegnia and 84 charter members. The organization is unique in that it is one of the first lodges formulated under the Grand Lodge of Colorado.

The New Generation created this lodge to reach out to the young generations of Italian-Americans, who have lost touch with the old neighborhood traditions simply through migration and growth of the community.  Our values are based upon liberty, equality, and fraternity.  We are a fraternal organization that strongly supports the familia, and we promote the teachings of our heritage to our present and future generations.

Our continued efforts are to raise moneys not only for scholarships but also for other charitable organizations.  Our membership continues to grow, and we would welcome and value your contributions.

Please join us as we continue to build upon our record of giving to the community.

Order Sons of Italy in America

The Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA) was founded in 1905 in New York City By Dr. Vincenzo Sellaro and five other Italian immigrants. It is the oldest, largest and most demographically diverse organization representing the 23 million men and women of Italian heritage in North America.

OSIA and two subsidiary organizations: the Commission for Social Justice (CSI) and the Sons of Italy Foundation (SIF) work to preserve the rich cultural heritage of Americans of Italian descent, cooperate with U.S. and Italian organizations to strengthen trade, business and educational opportunities between North America and the European community, represent the interest of Italian- American families, young professionals and the retirees before the U.S. Congress, and strive to promote the positive contributions of Italian American men and women.

OSIA’s one-half million family members represent a broad cross section of the Italian-American community. Many are involved in OSIA activities at the national level and in one of OSIA’s 850 local chapters. Men and women share equal status with OSIA, as do individuals of all professions and ages.
